Early retirement, which many perceive as an escape from work pressure and a pleasant rest, can actually turn into a nightmare. Three individuals who decided to retire early in recent years are now facing feelings of regret and dissatisfaction with this choice.
Bitter Experiences of Retirement
These individuals, who left their jobs due to various work conditions and psychological pressures, now struggle with issues such as depression and a sense of aimlessness. One of them clearly states, "Three years after my last day at work, I am still suffering from the consequences of this decision." They collectively believe that while they expected to have more freedom with early retirement, the disconnection from the work environment and social relationships has been challenging for them.
While some of them sought new activities and personal businesses, these efforts also faced serious obstacles due to a lack of experience and unfamiliarity with the new job market. For instance, one of these individuals points out that "my expectations of life after retirement were drastically different from reality."
